If you are try to run ipconfig on Vista as a non-Administator user you probably have seen this error.

The requested operation requires elevation

You can get around this error by doing the following.

1. Click on Start, or the Windows Logo in the bottom left
2. All Programs
3. Accessories
4. Right click Command Prompt
5. Select Run as Administrator
